Web Portal for Credit Management System

The Petrol Pumps are serving vital services by giving fuel to the transporters as well as other agencies etc.

Petrol pumps provide the credit facility in good faith to the transporters and other agencies.

Sometimes the transporters and other agencies go to another stations and get the fuel on credit with out paying the dues of the previous station.

PROBLEMS AREA:

  1. Increase of defaulters for every petrol pump owner.
  2. Defaulters get the fuel on credit by changing their registration number or transporter name.
  3. Unable to find out from where the defaulter vehicles are getting fuel and which route they are moving.
  4. How to inform the defaulter vehicles to other Petrol Pumps?

SOLUTION:

  1. The solutions to the problem is to develop a computer based and web enabled information system know as “Credit Management System”.
  2. The objective of the system is to provide instant information in real time and provide protection & alerts the other Petrol Pump Stations.

REQUIREMENT:

  1. All petrol pumps will have a stand alone Computer System along with Broad Band Connections.
  2. The defaulter’s data base will be kept on web server under the supervision of service provider.

SYSTEM PROCESS:

  1. All Pump Owners have a Unique User Name and secured Password to access this Web Application.
  2. The information of all defaulters will be kept on web server and defaulter’s data will be provided by the Pump Owners.
  3. When any transporter comes to a Pump Station and wants the credit facility then the Vehicle Registration no, Chassis No, Engine No, Transporter’s Name etc. will be kept with the Pump Owner.
  4. If the agency becomes a Defaulter then all the necessary information will be uploaded by the pump owner through the web application.
  5. Now the other pump owners can verify the default status of the transporter and provides credit facility as per their Credit status.
  6. The default status of the transporters will be erased only by the Pump Owner who is added the defaulter details in Web Data Base.

CONCLUSION

  1. The implementation of Credit Management System will help Pump Owner to minimize the losses and risks from the defaulter customers that directly affects the Profit Margins of the Pump.

FUTURE SCOPE

  1. A SMS [Short Messaging Service] can be added so that information of the defaulter can be retrieved immediately.
  2. Customized On-Line billing and Reporting System can also be added in near future.
